Community organizers who engaged neighbors in Westchester and Playa del Rey on the airport runway issue are now looking at next steps when the group meets during a town hall on Saturday.

LAX Accountability Community Town Hall: “Reaching Higher Together at LAX” will take place on Saturday, May 4, at 1 p.m., at the Westchester Senior Center, 8740 Lincoln Blvd., Los Angeles, 90045.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Assemblyman Steve Bradford, and Councilman-elect Mike Bonin,
Venice for Change, LA Airport Peace Officers Association, Alliance for a Regional Solution to Airport Congestion, Citizens for a Modern LAX, The Ballona Institute, Westchester Democratic Club and New Frontier Democratic Club for this discussion about LAX and its impact on our communities.

The Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday to expand the north runway at Los Angeles International Airport as part of a modernization plan that needed approval by Los Angeles World Airports Board of Airport Commissioners, and the City Planning Commission to name a few.
