Rosendahl Announces Start of Budget Committee Hearings

The City’s Budget and Finance Committee will begin the process of finalizing the Mayor’s FY 2013-14 Proposed Budget, Councilmember Bill Rosendahl announced today.

The Committee will begin a series of meetings to discuss the budget on Tuesday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m. Over the course of the next two weeks, the committee will hear from city departments and the public on providing basic services and the best way to chip away at the City’s structural deficit.

The Mayor published his proposed budget which can be found online.

“Please let me know what you think of the Mayor’s proposed budget,” said Rosendahl. “I’m interested in hearing your ideas for cutting costs without reducing basic services to my constituents.”

Those interested in attending the meetings but need to watch or listen from home or work can see other options here.
