The Los Angeles Press Club is hosting a ‘roast and toast’ in honor of Councilmember Bill Rosendahl and his separate careers that provided almost three decades of public service to the city.
The event is being held on Thursday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. Elected officials and local journalists will deliver roasts, as well as a celebratory toast for accomplishments in the 11th Council District, at the event which was announced last week.
All proceeds from the event will go toward a fund established by the Press Club to help public access journalists get their shows on television.
Before taking the political stage at City Hall, Rosendahl was seen in living rooms around the Southland as host of Local Talk, Week in Review, and Mideast Perspective on Century Cable. Rosendahl’s public service won him the Cable Ace Award, The Diamond Award, the Freedom of Information Award, the Los Angeles League of Women Voters Public Service Award and the Beacon Award for Cable’s Free Air Time Project.
