Rosendahl Urges Constituents to Attend Final Council Vote on Airport Modernization

The public will have one last chance to weigh in on Los Angeles International Airport’s modernization plans when the City Council votes on the proposals this Tuesday, Councilmember Bill Rosendahl announced today.

The City Council will meet Tuesday, April 30, at 10:00am, in the John
Ferraro Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 North Spring Street, Los
Angeles, 90012.

Councilmembers will vote on a controversial plan to move the north
runway 260 feet closer to homes in Westchester and Playa del Rey.
Rosendahl and his constituents have pressed for modernization at the
airport without expansion, and they will urge Councilmembers to adopt
an alternative plan that puts runway expansion on hold and fast tracks
other modernization projects at LAX, including Runway Status Lights, a
Midfield Concourse, a Consolidated Rental Car Center, an Automated
People Mover, and the extension of the Green Line to LAX.

Rosendahl is encouraging constituents attend and let their voices be heard.
