A proposed bond measure that aims to fix the City’s crumbling streets will be the focus of a special Public Works Committee meeting taking place in West LA on Tuesday night.
Councilmember Bill Rosendahl encourages his constituents to attend the special Westside meeting, which takes place on April 23rd, 6 p.m.,
at the Felicia Mahood Senior Center, at the West Los Angeles Municipal Building , 1645 Corinth Ave., room 200, in West LA.
The committee will hear public comments and City staff is expected to be on hand to answer questions.
The meeting is one of several planned for neighborhood groups across the City and are intended to inform the public on the issue of street repairs. Councilmembers Joe Buscaino and Mitch Englander are building support for their proposed ballot measure that will ultimately be decided on by voters.
Buscaino, who chairs the City’s Public Works Committee, recently announced the series of special committee meetings on his website and says the bond measure could provide the necessary funding to fix miles of infrastructure.
The proposed bond measure was introduced last January and would provide funding to repair 8,700 lane-miles of streets.
