City Seeks Public Assistance to Spot Copper Thefts

An increase in copper thefts from streetlight poles has prompted the City to start a campaign to raise awareness about the issue as well provide information on how to spot a possible crime in progress.

The Los Angeles Police Department and LADPW are sharing this flyer which alerts constituents to the issue along with the warning signs. The theft of copper wire in your streetlights will result in dark streets.

LAPD wants the public to call 9-1-1 if you see someone tampering with streetlight poles.

More details about this story can be found in Westchester’s Hometown News.
