Rosendahl Encourages Participation in Budget Survey

Councilmember Bill Rosendahl is seeking input from his constituents on the Los Angeles Budget Challenge and ideas on how to fix a $216 million structural deficit for Fiscal Year 2013-14.

Over the coming months, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the Los Angeles City Council will review opportunities to build upon recent efforts to improve the City’s fiscal sustainability. Participation in the survey will assist the Mayor as he prepares the Fiscal Year 2013-14 Budget, which will be released in April 2013.

“Over the next few months, we will continue to find ways to make our City government leaner, smarter, and more efficient,” said Rosendahl, who sits on the Budget and Finance Committee. “I’m confident that we will continue to chip away at the structural deficit and continue to provide even more services for Angelenos.”

The Budget Challenge was developed with input from the City’s Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates. Responses are due by March 4th.
