UPDATE: Rosendahl’s Council District offices are now accepting toy drive donations.
The giving season is here and many constituents are looking for ways to make the holidays brighter — especially for children right here in the 11th District.
There are three holiday toy drives in CD11: the Great Venice Toy Drive, the Muscle Beach Toy Drive, and the Venice Community Housing Corporation Holiday Toy and Gift Card Drive. See below for a list of drop off dates for each event.
In an effort to provide for the neediest families in the district, Councilmember Bill Rosendahl has once again requested the assistance of both the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Paramount Pictures.
The two organizations showed great support last year — the CHP generously provided the Councilmember’s office with gifts from the Toys for Tots program, and Paramount sent hundreds of its family friendly movies on DVD.
Other groups have held their own toy drives to support the larger, established ones. Drollinger Properties in Westchester held its own toy drive and matched gifts (up to 250) for the Muscle Beach Toy Drive. The Venice sign holiday lighting also benefited the Muscle Beach event.
Even with this extra boost in gifts, the organizations — and the families they serve — still need your help.
Here are the dates and locations of the holiday toy drives taking place on the Westside.
