City Seeks New Manager for Community Garden

The City of Los Angeles is looking for a person or group to manage the Eastwind Community Garden in Marina del Rey.

The garden, located at 110 Eastwind Street in Marina Del Rey, was founded in 1975. This small organic community garden produces all year round and has 16 garden plots (varying sizes), a tool shed, a compost area and an orchard.

The City of Los Angeles General Services Department (GSD) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for qualified entities to manage the community garden. The RFP may be downloaded from the Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network (LABAVN) by searching for “Eastwind Community Garden” under “Contractual Opportunities.”

The RFP submission deadline is Thursday, February 14, 2013, 12:00 p.m.

Request for technical assistance may be e-mailed to GSD staff (andrew.valas@lacity.org).
