A town hall meeting is taking place in Westchester this week to discuss several proposals to modernize Los Angeles International Airport.
The topic of the community meeting is ‘LAX – Modernize or Expand?’ The Neighborhood Council of Westchester/Playa is sponsoring the event taking place on Thursday, September 27, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Westchester Enriched Science Magnets School, 7400 W. Manchester Ave., in Westchester.
The discussion will center around proposed plans to renovate LAX and how it may impact local neighborhoods.
The scheduled moderator is former Majority/Minority Leader Richard Katz. Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, whose 11th District includes Westchester, Rep. Maxine Waters, whose 35th District includes Westchester and Playa del Rey, and Assemblyman Steven Bradford are expected to attend the meeting.
