Cause Determined in 40 Acre Madeville Canyon Fire

Smoking appears to be the cause of a fire that burned 40 acres in Mandeville Canyon back in September, according to a release from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The dramatic pictures released by the fire department paint only a partial picture of the efforts. More than 200 fire department personnel, bolstered with a regional response of firefighters by ground and air, pushed back flames from the wildfire before it could damage any homes in the brush covered terrain west of the Sepulveda Pass.
