Councilman Bill Rosendahl would like to invite you to a special West Los Angeles field hearing that has been set for the City Council’s Education & Neighborhoods Committee.
According to the agenda, testimony will be heard from neighborhood council participants and stakeholders to better understand the issues and concerns surr0unding the implementaton of the Citywide System of Neighborhood Councils. This conversation may include topics such as funding, elections, and board member training.
As the new committee chair, Councilman Bernard Parks says he wants to reform the Neighborhood Councils and Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, as well as increase civic engagement and participation.
The committee will hold four special meetings throughout the City with a start time of 6 p.m. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28th in West LA:
