Here’s a recap of noteworthy agenda items and policy issues that the Los Angeles City Council heard on Tuesday, February 21, 2011.
Captain Robert Knight from the Los Angeles Fire Department was in council chambers this morning to explain the dangers associated with brush clearance equipment and precautions that should be taken to maximize safety and prevent fires.
As Councilmember Bill Rosendahl pointed out, sharing this information is critical to constituents in the fire prone areas of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.
Rosendahl requested LAFD provide a fire safety brochure to be posted on the CD11 website and also interviewed Capt. Knight in the Media Room to give further tips on how to safely work around fire fuels.
