Remembering Ethel Appenzellar (1911-2011)
On Sunday, Mar Vista lost a treasured centenarian — Ethel Appenzellar (April 23, 1911-August 21, 2011). Her grandfather first came to America from Denmark in 1883. Ethel had a long career working with the Chancellor’s office at UCLA and is survived by four nieces and many extended family and friends. You will be missed Ethel!
Major Roadmap to Housing Announcement

National Weather Service Issues Excessive Heat Watch for this Weekend
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. Heat index values may rise to around 105 degrees during the afternoon hours Saturday and remain above 105 degrees until early Saturday evening.
